Successful sourcing demands a new way of thinking. Eleanor Winn and Barry Matthews set up Source in early 2010 to change the way in which outsourcing transactions are undertaken. We believe that with a new approach there can be a positive outcome for everyone involved - the customer and supplier organisations and those individuals touched by the sourcing process.
it is broadly recognised that the old way of finding and engaging with suppliers is not ideal. An exchange of documents is not the way to establish the rapport and insight that is required for a long term relationship. Our approach is a radical departure from the traditional procurement-led sourcing methodologies and focuses instead on engagement, discussion, transparency and alignment. Contact us to find out more about how this can work for you.
Eleanor Winn
Eleanor started her career as one of the first members of Logica’s then-fledgling outsourcing team in 1997. Having undertaken a number of roles in delivery, marketing and sales at Logica, she moved to the advisory field in 2003 , where she has advised a broad variety of clients, in the retail, travel, leisure, financial services logistics, construction and not for profit sectors, as a Director of Quantum Plus and Alsbridge as well as independently. In April 2010 she was one of the founder directors of source, and is now inspired by the vision of making sure that each transaction delivers a successful outcome for everyone.
Eleanor lives in Oxfordshire with her family and spends her time running around after two boys, a horse, a dog and a man.
Barry Matthews
Barry formally learnt his trade at General Electric before moving into e-business consulting at iXL and Scient. He worked as a Director at IT Supplier Sapient where he was instrumental in implementing globally distributed delivery models for some of Sapient's largest clients, a practice now more commonly known as offshoring! He moved into sourcing advisory as an independent consultant before joining Alsbridge and setting up their IT Outsourcing Practice. He has been recognised by both the Management Consultants Association (MCA) and the National Outsourcing Association (NOA) for his outsourcing and consulting expertise. A particularly energetic character, when not consulting Barry can be found running across the Sahara, completing Iron Man Triathlons, surfing or mountain biking. He occassionally makes it home to the South Devon coast where he lives with his long suffering wife Liz and his two children Tom and Molly
Nick Davies
Nick started his career with outsource service providers in 1985. He worked his way up to Global Ops management in a career that took him across three continents, working in the oil industry, central government agency, police and manufacturing. Since 2003 he has worked globally in an advisory role, leading a variety of change programmes in the transport, police, public sector, retail and most recently media sectors. Nick has been recognised by the NOA during this period. Nick has extensive transition management, service management and procurement experience and thrives in interim and consultative engagements.
Nick spends his own time on the golf course, helping on the family smallholding and enjoying all things French, especially Appellation Cahors!
Duncan Chapman
Duncan has over 25 years' wide-ranging experience in the IT industry, the last four of which he has spent as a sourcing advisor at Alsbridge and Source, working with clients in areas as varied as retail, fashion, manufacturing and music, with a common focus on delivering greater value or efficiency in their IT and business processes.
His advice is grounded in years of practical experience working as a business consultant and client executive for systems integrators, delivering application development and IT management services using on- and off-shore teams.
He has also worked as a travel-industry IT expert putting together fare delivery solutions to power travel-agency web sites for American Express and Opodo; and as a developer building and delivering software for the airline industry.
He is still known to wax lyrical about the time when he had an honest job writing code and could wield a debugger like few others, though nowadays he isn't allowed to play with anything more dangerous than Powerpoint or a spreadsheet.
When not engaged on client work he likes to spend time stumping around the bush in odd bits of the world with a camera and a bag full of lenses, bothering animals and birds.
Nicolo Saa
Nicolo is a sourcing advisor with a background of +6 years of legal experience as an international corporate lawyer and with an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.
A good understanding of the business and the legal background to a sourcing project is critical to its success, and Nicolo’s expertise in bridging business, legal and technical requirements positions him well to deliver successful outcomes for his customers.
As part of the Source team, Nicolo has been responsible for ensuring that outsourcing engagements, mainly within the legal and retail industries, are on the right track to succeed, by implementing positive outcomes for every individual involved, while protecting relationships. In fact, Nicolo is a multicultural professional - with strong inter-personal skills and excellent communication talents - able to deal with complex projects involving senior business stakeholders.
When Nicolo is not wearing his tie or suit, he will be probably be in shorts on a football pitch or in jeans on a theatre stage co-directing a high school community theatre company.
Agneta Pigott

Agneta has a Masters degree in Computer Science from her native Romania and has developed her career in the UK over that last 20+ years.
After earlier roles at a software house and Ernst & Young, Agneta joined T-Mobile at the time they launched their brand new mobile network and contributed to the development of the first pre-paid mobile service in the UK. She has gained extensive mobile telecommunications and IT experience, progressing to become the Head of IT Operations and Service Management for the entire UK service. In this role she introduced ITIL based service management principles and applied them to the needs of the fast growing highly technical environment of T-Mobile.
She has negotiated and delivered the benefits of major outsourcing agreements for infrastructure, desktop, SAP, the 300 retail store IT infrastructure and application operations services.
She has benchmarked IT services and achieved major cost reductions as well as delivering service improvements.
With Deutsche Telekom’s acquisition of T-Mobile UK, Agneta has had the opportunity to champion international projects that migrated infrastructure into a European cloud computing environment.
In her spare time Agneta enjoys travelling to far flung places like Japan and New Zealand, however her favourite destination remains Italy. She is currently learning Italian and grappling with its complex grammar.
Nik Mellor

Nik achieved an Honors degree in Aerospace Engineering and spent his first two post-graduate years on quite a long journey by motorcycle. Finally tiring of the saddle, he joined a search & rescue organisation in Nepal and helped establish a linked school for orphaned boys and girls. Schooling for girls is as rare as organised sniffer-dog rescue in the Himalayas; and Nik spent a thoroughly enjoyable year upping the odds for both children and explorers alike.
He ventured home to join IBM UK in 2001 and began several happy, challenging years implementing and managing a number of globally dispersed IT services for strategic clients such as Merrill Lynch and CiscoSystems.
Nik joined a Telco Service Providerstart-up business in 2007 and within no time was back on the road... and in the air rather a lot too. The challenge was to keep pace of a rapid multi-Carrier rollout of significant scale, and deliver the scalability and quality required to succeed in a brand new market. Building from the ground up, Nik established a portfolio of customer service centres operating across six native languages and several continents, and employing over five-thousand agents at peak.
Nik thrives on seeing creative, practical Sourcing solutions come to life - putting theory into practice through solid planning and strong relationships.
Nik’s fiancé and two young children ensure a short supply of spare time, but he spends what little he does have mastering Bossa Nova guitar and Brazilian Portuguese, and windsurfing when he can.
