Could you be the next addition to the source team?

Who are we?

Successful sourcing demands a new way of thinking. Source was established to change the way that outsourcing transactions are undertaken. We believe that with a new approach there can be a positive outcome for everyone involved - the customer and supplier organisations and those individuals touched by the sourcing process.

It is broadly recognised that the old way of finding and engaging with suppliers is not ideal. An exchange of documents is not the way to establish the rapport and insight that is required for a long-term relationship. Our approach is a radical departure from the traditional procurement-led sourcing methodologies and focuses instead on engagement, discussion, transparency and alignment.

positive outcomes guaranteed we believe passionately that outsourcing or insourcing when carried out in the right way should have a positive impact on every individual and organisation involved in the process and we provide a range of consulting, training and support services to guarantee positive outcomes

simplifying - just enough we don't think outsourcing needs to be complicated, it's a simple concept. We understand why some deals fail while others succeed and we apply our knowledge and approach to every situation to make sure that our customers succeed

no compromise on the truth honesty and integrity are our two fundamental guiding principles. We will only ever give our customers an honest, informed opinion. We will never say yes simply because it's what they want to hear and we will never try to sell services that people don't want or need. We measure ourselves by these principles and prove it by demonstrating these behaviours every day

walking in our customers’ shoes we know why our customers need independent expertise as we've been buyers of outsourced services ourselves. We know what drives outsourcing suppliers, because we've been supplier sales and delivery leads. We therefore have a pretty good idea of the type of help our customers are likely to need and how to package it up to bring the most value to their specific circumstances

reduce risk, increase success we know how important each sourcing transaction is and the impact that it has at every level of an organisation. We also know why relationships breakdown and sourcing deals fail. We believe that our job is to ensure the success of every sourcing relationship from beginning to end. We will work with our customers over the lifetime of their sourcing deals, staking our reputation on making it one of the successful ones

If this rings a bell for you then read on, as we are looking for positive, results-focused people with the attitude, energy and skills to deliver positive outcomes for everybody involved in our exciting projects.

Who are you?

Not everyone will want to work with us. Our team is uncompromising in what we expect of ourselves and of our colleagues. To be successful at Source you will need to have:

energy we create momentum for the initiatives that we work on. We do this by bringing energy, passion and focus. These things are contagious and our customers find themselves working in different ways, looking at challenges through fresh eyes and delivering better results. The energy comes from us. The results come from working successfully together.

flexibility our projects are varied. Our customers have different cultures; different attitudes to risk and relationships. We work in a wide variety of functional areas from IT and BPO to document management and recruitment. Our involvement might be leading a team for six months or running a governance meeting once a quarter. Our people enjoy this variety and are not fazed by it.

curiosity to gain a true understanding of what makes our customers tick requires a curious mind and an ability to ask the right questions. To implement a successful outsourcing deal the same curious attitude about a supplier and what they want to achieve from a deal is essential. Take nothing for granted.

positivity our customers enjoy having us around. We work hard and look for the positive throughout. Positivity attracts positivity and we know that approaching the deal with an open mind and a smile helps all the parties involved to do the same and will lead to a more successful outcome.

experience of course you need to know what you are doing, that goes without saying. You need to understand the dynamics of the outsourcing market and how successful deals work. You need to have direct experience of working with third parties and creating successful relationships. We want to hear your stories and add them to our own.

Relevant experience will include:

  • previous work as a sourcing advisor or consultant
  • development of sourcing strategies
  • procurement of complex, long-term service relationships
  • contract negotiation relating to outsourcing
  • leading complex change to service delivery or service management models, whether through outsourcing or internally
  • structured or strategic management of third party relationships
  • remediation of outsourcing or other third party relationships

What will you do?

We work with a range of clients, across the public and private sectors. Dependent on experience our advisors work alone or with a Source colleague, embedded in a client team.

We advise on deals in IT, BPO, facilities management, and any other area that involves long term, strategic, complex business relationships. We see things through from strategy development, service design, procurement, negotiation, transition, service management, governance and relationship optimization right through to exit management.

What’s the deal?

We offer a remuneration package that we believe provides an incentive for you to maximise your and Source’s delivery potential whilst aligning both parties growth objectives over the next 5 years. We pay market-rate salaries and every quarter we share our profit with the team.

Along with this we provide private healthcare, a new challenge every day and a terrible joke every Friday as part of the weekly team catch-up.
